Northeast Ann Arbor Condominium Development Update

northsky North sky Neighborhood: attached and detached Condominium development planned for northeast Ann Arbor on Pontiac Trail just south Dhu Varren. Initially slated for 2007 but pushed back because of the slumping economy.



plymouth green crossings ann arbor condos NE Ann arbor Plymouth Green Crossings: Condominium and retail development located on Green Road at Plymouth. Despite the Pfizer pullout, this development is off the ground and going steady. A mixed use retail and residential development featuring 38 residential condominiums and 33,000 square feet of retail space with signed tenants including Sweetwater's Coffee & Tea, Olga's Kitchen. Also to include a 6000 square foot free standing restaurant. Construction is well underway with occupancy beginning in spring 2008. Designed by Ann Arbor architect, Damian Farrell of Integrated Architecture, this project promises to be exciting and a fitting gateway into northeast Ann Arbor.

Upland Green: Condominium and retail development located on Plymouth Rd. directly across from the University of Michigan North Campus. Slated for 22 residential units ranging from 500 to 1500 sq ft priced from $120,000 to $300,000. Retailers are expected to include Panara Bread and Qdoba. Project was well underway but work was abruptly halted. Project is expected to be resumed but no sign of workers on the site.

hideawaylane250 Hideaway Lane Ann Arbor Condominiums Hideaway Lane is Ann Arbor’s first new community to feature the earth friendly houses, inspired by the principles of Sarah Susanka’s book, The Not So Big House, combining classic exteriors with modern interiors, in an association maintained park–like setting. Serene cottage style living, with golf and Leslie Science Center next door; downtown, UM Medical Center, EPA, and the Farmers Market within 1.5 miles.

Lower Town 2 Lower Town: Demolition for the 7.3 acre Lower town development began in late November after a long wait. This $171 million project consists of seven buildings that will include residential, retail, medical and office space in a walk-able, urban setting. Of the development's total square footage, 226,118 square feet of it will be for 185 upscale residential rental apartments. Another 138,275 square feet will be dedicated to commercial retail space and 152,689 square feet will be built for office space. There will also be a 760-unit parking deck.

The site is located at Plymouth road and Maiden Lane within walking distance to the University of Michigan Hospital with easy access to Downtown Ann Arbor. See the Strathmore Development web site more detailed information.
