Today’s Fun Family Activities in Ann Arbor

Today is going to be a beautiful and sunny fall day. Take advantage of the weekend by enjoying an outing outside of your Ann Arbor home with your family. Here are a couple ideas for some fun things going on today in Ann Arbor.

Waterloo Area Farm Museum: Pioneer Days
Enjoy tours of the farmhouse and outbuildings of this 19th century homestead. Demonstrations in spinning, quilting, dressmaking and weaving will be given. Kids will enjoy wagon rides, historical children’s games, Civil War reenactors, and live music. Refreshments, fall produce, and gifts will be for sale. Cobblestone Farm Association: Halloween Harvest Celebration
Families will learn about history at this reenactment of 1850s farm life. Costumed interpreters will demonstrate cooking over a woodstove and what preparations are taken to ready the farm for fall. Kids can participate in a costume parade, games, pumpkin painting, and visits with barnyard animals. Tours of the restored 1844 Ticknor-Campbell farmhouse will be given. Ann Arbor District Library: Persian Family Cultural Celebration
Learn about Persian culture at this celebration featuring Persian music, crafts, and treats, all geared for children grades K-5. Event runs 2-3:30 at the library at 343 S. Fifth Ave. For more information, call 734-327-8301.
