Upland Green Project Moving Forward

Ann Arbor condominiums expect to have model units open soon

Work has begun anew on the Upland Green project in north Ann Arbor. The project started in 2004, and was moving along slowly until new investors recently took over the project, which is now moving quickly towards completion. The multi-use development will add to the number of Ann Arbor condominiums in the city. Model units are scheduled to be open for viewing by the beginning of the new year, and are certain to draw lots of interest from students and staff at the nearby University of Michigan. Upland Green is located near the Plymouth Road corridor near the University’s North Campus.

The twenty units will range in size from one to three bedrooms, and will be located on the second and third floors of a three-floor structure. A surface lot behind the building will provide parking.

The builders are striving to make the units environmentally friendly by using sustainable building materials. A recycled paper product will be used for insulation and sound proofing in the walls, Low Voc paint will be used, and Energy Star appliances and fixtures will be featured in the units. High ceilings will make the units feel like lofts and will make the rooms open and airy.

Several restaurants will provide convenient dining for tenants. Qdoba, Panera, and Great Plains Burgers are all located on the ground floor, making it easy for residents to grab a quick meal close to home. Retain space is still available for lease on the first level.
