Five greats restaurants you can walk to from Ashley Terrace Condos

If you are looking for good eats in Ann Arbor, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re keeping your eyes on Ashley Terrace Condominiums or other Downtown Ann Arbor Condos, you’ll be within walking distance from some of Ann Arbor’s best, and I’m here to help you prepare for that with a few of my favorite spots.
1. Café Zola
Does your heart long a morning spent in Paris? Oui, oui! Then head to Café Zola for a scrumptious French inspired brunch. Fancy a crepe? I’d recommend the champignon crepe with an espresso macciato. Or perhaps you are in the mood for the Smoked Salmon Omelette – which always delivers. Looking for something sweet? I’d recommend the “A la Gabus” – a waffle covered in chocolate hazelnut spread, Chantilly and raspberry sauce, and – wait for it – ice cream.
If breakfast isn’t your most important meal of the day, make sure you check out their full dinner menu, complete with an extensive wine list and a full bar.

2. Grizzly Peak
Looking for a laid back evening with a tall local brew? Look no further than Grizzly Peak, one of Ann Arbor’s fantastic local brewpubs that also features some tantalizing entrees. Last time I stopped in, I tried the butternut squash ravioli paired with the house recommendation, the Grizzly Peak Pale Ale. Delicious!
GP is a perfect spot to catch a game with friends while munching on pretzel appetizers, or spiff up for a casual date night with a well crafted beer.

3. West End Grill
The West End Grill is a fantastic choice for a special night out. The upscale pricing is well worth the attentive service and exquisite food – not to mention the incredible wine selection. I’d suggest you go out on a limb and start with the scrumptious veal dumplings and this is undeniably the place to find a perfectly cooked steak. Entrees are served with garden vegetables, beignet rolls, and soup or salad.
Next time you have a reason to celebrate make sure West End Grill is on the top of your list.

4. Sheesh
If you are craving the flavor of Mediterranean food, you have to try the newest spot for Middle Eastern fare, Sheesh. Just thinking about their pita, which is served piping hot, fresh out of the oven, makes my mouth water, and their hummus can hold it’s own against any game in town. Their entrees are large enough to share – please have a bite of the Zesty Lamb Ghalabah for me. Another specialty, the fresh-squeezed smoothies, and of course you shouldn’t end your meal without sampling their perfect baklava.
This casual restaurant is a great place for carry-out or a night out.

5. Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea
Looking for a cozy cup of joe? Sweetwater is the perfect spot to curl up with a new novel, and sip a sweet espresso while catching up with a good friend. The café is inviting whether you are meeting with a group, or plugging in your laptop, and the goodies that go along with the hot drinks are divine.
Sweetwater is definitely a great local spot to kick-back and relax.
