The Ann Arbor Farmers Market has been providing fresh produce and goods to area consumers for over 90 years. Located on Detroit Street in the Kerrytown District of downtown Ann Arbor, the Ann Arbor Farmers market operates all year long. From May through December, the market is open two days, on Wednesday and Saturday, from 7:00am – 3:00pm. During the winter, from January through April, it’s open only on Saturdays, from 8:00am – 3:00pm.
We’re lucky to have so many vendors who are committed to bringing their goods to the market. You can pick up not only fresh fruits and vegetables, but also artisan breads and baked goods. Many vendors will offer samples of their wares so that you can taste before you buy. Farm fresh eggs, chesses and meats are available to satisfy even the heartiest palate. And you’ll have a hard time choosing from the many delicious varieties of honey, jellies and maple syrups on display.
As the Spring thaw has finally happened in our area, you can pick up flowers and plants for your own garden, and even some cut flowers to brighten up your home instantly. There are organic and heirloom items available for purchase or planting, as well as those that are sustainably grown.
A number of artists bring their wares to the Ann Arbor Farmers Market. You can find treasures like handcrafted jewelry [earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings], handmade leather purses and hand-sewn linens. Many vendors will even create special orders for you.
Because the Ann Arbor Farmers Market believes that fresh, wholesome food is important at all economic levels, the vendors accept EBT Bridge Cards, Project Fresh, and Senior Project Fresh.
Whether you’re interested in picking up seeds and plants you can tend on your own, or just something delicious for dinner, you’ll find everything you need at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market.
