Each visit reveals knowledge and a new appreciation of nature and art. The Matthaei Botanical Gardens is located in the northside of Ann Arbor on Dixboro Rd. between Geddes and Plymouth Rd.

May 11th, 12th and May 18th, 19th, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., bring home a piece of the garden during the May plant sale. Large selections of hanging and container plants, heirloom vegetables, and herbs will be available for purchase. View demos and get tips from the Herb Study Group, UMBees Michigan Gourd Society, and a fermented foods class.
On Sunday May 19th, 2p.m.-5 p.m., The University of Michigan will have its first Bonsai Garden at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens with their new exhibit, Bonsai and Penjing Garden. Experience Japanese influences: koto music and free Zentangle workshop -- drawing intricate images with structured patterns. Refreshments will be provided.
