Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation- Skate, Swim, and Be Social!

Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation has great new upcoming fall and winter opportunities for children and adults.  Where else can you learn how to play Mah Jongg, take a Taiko Drumming class, or join a Women's Ice Hockey League?

Buhr Outdoor Ice Arena and the Veterans Memorial Ice Arena are the two locations where you can skate for fun or take classes.  They both offer an assortment of opportunities, such as ice hockey leagues, for kids and adults. They also have wonderful community activities for the whole family to attend! Buhr Rink has Funky Frost Fridays once a month where you have an oportunity to dress up in themed constumes and win prizes! Skate Rental is available.

Swim clases and water aerobics are currently available to register for at Mack Indoor Pool, located off of Miller Avenue.  The pool is heated so everyone can swim comfortable ALL YEAR LONG!  Check out the swim class schedule for times and descriptions.  They also offer American Red Cross Lifegaurding Classes (minimum age is 15 yrs.) and a new SWIM TEAM has been created for all ages and abilities to participate in this year.  Check out the Details!
